The University of Georgia collaborates with international partner institutions in many ways, including joint research and student and faculty mobility. These relationships can reinforce and complement the University of Georgia's strengths and lead to mutually beneficial outcomes that could not be achieved individually by either institution. If your institution is interested in proposing a specific collaboration with the University of Georgia, International Partnerships staff can reach out to and liaise with the appropriate department, college or other unit at the University of Georgia.
Please note that the University of Georgia's primary model for collaboration with other academic institutions is faculty driven. Most collaboration arises out of an informal relationship between a University of Georgia faculty member and a colleague at an overseas institution. For a partnership to provide real value, faculty need to be willing not only to build the foundation for the partnership but to invest the effort to sustain the relationship for its duration. If you would like to discuss collaborating with the University of Georgia on behalf of an international academic institution, please contact the International Partnerships Coordinator (706)542-0452 or the Director of International Partnerships (706)542-2202.
