International collaboration at the University of Georgia often stems from connections established by individual faculty members, which can then grow to include the relevant department or college or even multiple units at the University of Georgia. The International Partnerships unit serves UGA by counseling faculty on developing these partnerships, reviewing cooperative agreement and student exchange proposals, and negotiating partnership agreements. This section is intended to provide guidance to UGA faculty and organizational units interested in developing international partnerships.
International Partnerships staff can offer feedback on ideas for collaboration, suggesting models for collaboration and pointing out possible pitfalls. We are able to identify existing programs or linkages that have opportunities for further development. We can also direct UGA faculty members to potential funding. If you would like to speak about international collaboration or arrange a meeting for that purpose, please contact the Director of International Partnerships (706)542-2202 or the International Partnerships Coordinator (706)542-0452. For further information on forms of collaboration, please see the Explore Types of Partnerships section.
