Advising and Appointments

Students interested in studying abroad have multiple opportunities to learn about the options available to them at The University of Georgia through Options Abroad, individual advising, and walk-in advising. If you are unsure about where you'd like to study abroad or what type of program you'd like to go on, attending an Options Abroad Session will help you learn more general information about education abroad as well as help you determine which program would be best for you.

Beginning the search process for your study abroad program early is important. You need to work closely with your Academic Advisor to see where study abroad fits best into your degree requirements. Start today!

WEEKLY OPTIONS ABROAD SESSIONS

If you are interested in studying, working, volunteering or interning abroad, we encourage you to attend. An Options Abroad Session explains the basics of finding a program, using the resources in our education abroad library, the process of transferring credit from an external program, financial aid and scholarships, health and insurance, basic travel information, information on working, volunteering or interning abroad. 

Sessions are held in various locations across campus. Check schedule, day and location.

Drop in with your quick questions about education abroad. No appointment necessary! Walk-in hours are only during the fall and spring semesters.
